The IMC is a member of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI). This is the global body of management consultants concerned with establishing hign standards in the profession. To be a member, every institute must meet the standards of the ICMCI through an Audit for Re-accreditation process. View List of ICMCI Member Institutes.
As an Accredited Member of the ICMCI, the IMC has the authority of the global body to audit and accredit training programmes for CMC Certification. The CMC Qualification is reciprocally recognised in over 40 Member Countries that are represented in the ICMCI including USA, UK, Japan, Germany, India, China, Australia, South Africa, Nigeria, Netherlands.
United Nations Recognition
The ICMCI is the only body of management consultants that has been granted the Consultative Status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). View Details. The IMC, being a member of the ICMCI, has the previlege of nominating delegates to relevant organs of the United Nations ECOSOC.
Special Global Assignments
The IMC has participated in global assignment as follows:
1996 – Special presentation at the World Conference of Management Consultants held in Yokohama, Japan. The IMC Contribution has been published in both English and Japanese.
2001 – World Conference of consultants held in Berlin, Germany.
2004 – The IMC was invited by the Centre of Excellence (The International Institute of Management Consultancy) at the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences to contribute to its management consultancy education programme. The IMC has continued to assist the Unviersity in recruiting students for its programmes.
2007 – The Commonwealth Unviersity Belize approached the IMC to assist with its management consultancy related courses. The role of the IMC in this process is to ensure that the minimum standards for the CMC certification as set down by the ICMCI are followed.
2008 – The St Clements University, Lausanne, Switzerland requested the IMC to assist with establishing and validating its MSc degree in Management Consultancy for standards acceptable for the CMC Certification of the ICMCI.
